Microsoft Delays Release Of XP’s Service Pack 3

Microsoft has delayed the release of the new Windows XP service pack 3 (SP3) right at the last minute claiming that they had to fix the “compatibility issue”. In the statement they released yesterday they said they would be suspending downloads while they looked into the problem between the Dynamics Retail Management System and the SP3, XP, and Vista SP1.

Apple May Expect Competition In The Near Future

Apple iTunes has sold more than 4 billion songs and has accounts for more than 70% of the digital music that is sold all around the world. For only being open five years they have come a long way and it will be interesting to see how far it will go in the next five years. As digital music becomes more popular will there be enough competition out there to bring its sales down?

Microsoft Stopping MSN Music Service

After August 3rd Microsoft will be disabling the ability for people to play songs that have been purchased and downloaded off of its MSN Music service on brand new devices. “As of August 31st, we will no longer be able to support the retrieval of license keys for the songs you purchased from MSN Music or the authorization of additional computers,” Microsoft stated in an e-mail that was sent to former MSN Music customers.

Pystar Builds Cheaper Versions Of Mac PC’s

There are many of us who would love to get our hands on a Mac – but do not want to pay the heavy tax that comes with it. Pystar is making things a bit easier by creating their own version of the Mac PC. Nationwide Cell Phone Alert System To Be Instilled

This week federal regulators approved their new plan to create an alert system that can be sent to cell phones all over the nation in the form of text messages. Text messages have become more popular among cell phone users – especially with the younger generation. The CTIA – wireless industry’s trade association – has estimated that over 48 billion text messages are sent out each month.
