Blu-ray Sales Go Down
Who is on top right now? On a report from NPD Group for Blu-ray player sales the report stated that their was a forty percent fall in sales in February. The Blu-ray player sales didn’t not increase, when HD DVD player production slowed.
The same NPD Group reported that HD DVD sales have dropped thirteen percent in February and then sixty five percent in March as HD DVD player production stopped. In a survey last year, many consumers felt it was not best to buy the new next generation player because the player that they were already using worked fine and the new players were not cost effective.
The conclusion is that Blu-ray will cut their prices, but not anytime soon.
